Chennai weather update - 7 PM - 2 Dec 2015


Chennai rain update at 7.00 pm Dec 2nd: Chennai you should be smiling a bit and be thankful. Most intense clouds have moved up north. Hope coastal Andhra (Nellore) survives through this - there are some intense bands - which may lead to heavy down pour. Nellore and regions may be experiencing Chennai's 12/1 fate today as you read this post. 
Chennai you may have drizzles or/ and few heavy showers through the night in patches. However, not a down pour like 12/1. But the rain activity is not over. We will have rainy days for the rest of the week - rain clouds are seen over Bay of Bengal. Chennai might have some heavy showers tomorrow. Will keep this post updated late night once again with latest images from IMD. 

 Latest images from IMD at 1.30 pm and 1.50 pm today suggests that we will have less rainy night. However, be watchful around 9pm to 11pm. There might be some heavy showers.


Till then Chennai, be alert and safe - be careful of the flood waters, electric lines, and pot holes. Your life is important. Be safe and rest!
