Today, 9 Dec, wide spread rain in Chennai - but moderate fall across the city. This evening we may have some continuous showers.  Again, this might be moderate - however, continuous. This will be the weather pattern through the night with some breaks. This rain effect will be more pronounced in Coastal belt of Chennai - ECR, OMR and South Chennai including some parts of North East Chennai. I wish I can be specific in the area and time when some of the rain fall is bit heavy.  One assurance - no 12/1 effect !

Rest of Tamil Nadu & Pondy: There might be moderate rain across TN. Pondy, Trichy, Tuticorin, Nagercoil, Salem and outskirts of Coimbatore will experience rain.
